Update: Victim identified in George Price Highway crash

By Aaron Humes: Earlier tonight, Breaking Belize News reported on a fatal traffic accident that occurred between Mile 19 and 20 on the George Price Highway just outside Hattieville. Police have since identified the victim of the accident as one Mario Rivera.

Initial police investigation reveals that the vehicles allegedly collided after Rivera’s Chevy Tracker swerved into the lane in front of the James Bus. The James Bus was heading to Belize City while the Chevy Tracker was traveling in the opposite direction when the accident occurred.

Rivera died on the spot but no one on the bus was reported injured.
