New Health Minister warns of fake Instagram profile bearing his image

By BBN Staff: Newly-appointed Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard is warning Instagram users to be careful of a fake profile purporting to be his.

Bernard took to Facebook this morning to warn that the profile bearing the name “Kevin Emmanuel Bernard” which only has one follower, is not an official page of his.

“Kindly note that this is not me and my account may have been hacked. I’m working on restoring that account. Kindly ignore any messages sent out from that account,” Bernard said.

This week, the Government of Belize announced Bernard to be the new health minister, replacing former minister Michel Chebat in a number of sweeping changes within Cabinet. Prime Minister John Briceño said that these changes will further serve the national interest. Bernard takes over the Ministry at a time when the country’s COVID-19 situation is in a critical state.
