54 new cases were reported over the course of the Easter period beginning on Holy Thursday, just shy of 11 new cases per day.
With 45 new recoveries, the number of active cases is up slightly to 112, with 18 samples under investigation.
Five persons are hospitalized, two of whom are in intensive care.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Wellness continues to search out additional previously unreported deaths, adding four more to the national total, which now stands at 676: 1 from October 2021, 2 from November 2021, and 1 from February 2022.
29 new cases were reported in the central districts of Belize and Cayo including six in Belize City; five in San Ignacio/Santa Elena and five in Belmopan, plus five more in San Pedro Town.
Up north, there were a total of five new cases including one each in Corozal Town and Orange Walk Town, while down south, Placencia reported seven new cases and Punta Gorda Town three of eight in the Toledo District.
