Zboys win Benque 1st Division Football Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The ZBoys Football Club beat Benque Verdes Juniors 4-0 and won Benque Viejo Football Committee 1st Division Championship at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium last Saturday.

Brayan Cuellar scored a brace in the 21′ and 49′ while the other goals came from Nahjib Guerra in the 8′ and Jayden Lennan in the 50′.

Succotz United won third place by defeating Santa Cruz 3-0 on goals by Haberald Can in the 49′, J. Torres in the 56′ and Francisco Jimenez in the 75′.

The Z Boys won four individual awards. Ramon Coyoc won Best Coach, Ethan Pineda got Best Goalkeeper, Kayser Tut claimed Best Midfielder, and Jayden Lennan was named Best Forward.

Subchampions Benque Verdes Jrs’ Oscar Sanchez received the Best Defender Award.

Youths United won the Fair Play Award.
