Belize Men’s National Football Team trains today in Cayenne, French Guiana for Tuesday’s match in the Concacaf Nations League B

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) arrived in Cayenne, French Guiana on Monday for Tuesday’s match in the Concacaf Nations League B.

The BMNT left Belize on Saturday, June 11 traveling to Miami in the United State where they overnighted. On Sunday, they boarded a second flight to Martinique and today they flew to Cayenne.

The FFB said the BMNT was to train on Monday at 4:00 pm in preparation for the game on Tuesday against French Guiana at the Dr. Edmard Lama Municipal Stadium in Cayenne at 1:00 pm.

After the game, the BMNT then leaves French Guiana on Wednesday, June 15, to arrive here on Friday, June 17.

Last Thursday, Belize and French Guiana played to a 1-1 draw at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.

At present, French Guiana lead Group D lead the group with seven points. Guatemala and the Dominican Republic have four points each and Belize have one.

In the other Group D match, Guatemala will host the Dominican Republic today at 6:00 pm.

Right now, all teams have three games remaining but after their fourth game, the fifth and sixth will be played until March 2023.
