Trial Farm resident says she was stabbed by her stepfather

By Benjamin Flowers: Eighteen-year-old Trial Farm Village resident Daxia Martinez was admitted to the Northern Regional Hospital this week with stab wounds that she says were inflicted by her stepfather.

Martinez told police that she was at home, around 6:00 p.m. yesterday, when she and her stepfather got into an altercation. During that altercation, he reportedly pulled a knife and stabbed her several times in the body.

The matter is under police investigation.
