Have you seen 13-year-old Wendy Avelar?

By Benjamin Flowers: Authorities are looking for a 13-year-old girl from the Cayo district who reportedly ran away from home last week.

Wendy Avelar, a resident of St. Matthew’s Village, is one of two sisters who were last seen around 2:00 a.m. on September 5. Wendy is believed to be traveling with her 15-year-old sister Gissel Avelar.

Wendy is described as being of clear complexion with long, straight black hair, medium built, and standing 5′ 5″ tall.

Police did not have a description of their clothing at the last time they were seen.

Anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts is urged to call 911 or 922.
