A team from San Antonio, Cayo assesses damages to water system pipeline in Mountain Pine Ridge

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Tuesday, a team from San Antonio, Cayo journeyed to the Mountain Pine Ridge to assess the damage to the water system pipeline.

Chairman Aron Tzib said that it was a challenge for the team as they fell into the flooded waters and lost their machetes and boots.

The team managed to cross the flooded waters and check to ensure that the pipeline is in place and had not been washed away.

“They came back safe and with positive feedback, it was a progressive day for the team and they managed to fix all dislocated pipes leading into our village. So an exemplary outstanding job, well-done heroes of our village, finally our water system is been restored and functioning properly,” Tzib said.

Tzib stated that the road construction unit will cover up the pipeline that was washed away in the village and when they do so, the valve will be closed to mend the damaged area.

“So for the time being we encourage all our villagers to please fill all your containers,” he noted.

Tzib thanked members of the team, Mynor Castillo, Deon Gomez, Eroll Howe, and Hilberto Hernandez.

The chairman also extended gratitude to Emir Quiroz for providing free drinking water for the residents on Tuesday.
