Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing conducting works on low-lying wooden bridge

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) is conducting works on the low-lying wooden bridge in San Ignacio and Santa Elena.

The bridge had been closed due to flooding.

Last week, during the flooding, the Macal River raised and flooded out the San Ignacio Market and the Cayo Welcome Center.

Motorists had been using the Santa Elena and Hawkesworth bridges as the alternative.
