2022 FIFA World Cup: Two of the world’s top strikers, Mbappé & Lewandowski, go face to face as World Champions France play Poland on Sunday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Kylian Mbappé and Robert Lewandowski, two of the world’s top forwards, will take the field against each other as World Champions France meet Poland in the Round of 16 at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Mbappé is surrounded by stars like Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, and Olivier Giroud to name a couple. For his part, Lewandowski is accompanied by Piotr Zielinski and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny who have had good performances so far.

The 9:00 am match at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha is the third in the Round of 16 after the Netherlands eliminated the United States 3-1 and Argentina dispatched Australia 2-1 on Saturday.

Then, later today, England battle Senegal at 1:00 pm at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

The Round of 16 continues on Monday, December 5 with Japan playing against World Subchampions Croatia at 9:00 am and Brazil taking on South Korea at 1:00 pm.

The final day for the Round of 16 will be Tuesday, December 6. On that day, Morocco will measure up against Spain at 9:00 am and at 1:00 pm Portugal will close against Switzerland.
