By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man charged with burglary was granted bail in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, but still ended up getting remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

Forty-six-year-old Robert Flores appeared unrepresented in court, charged with a single count of burglary with respect to a number of items stolen from a building on Mapp Street that once housed the business Gush and Emy. The tools and other personal items stolen in the burglary had a combined value of $2,500.

Flores pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $5,000, plus two sureties of $2,500 each; however, he was unable to post bail and was remanded until he is able to do so. Flores is due back in court on March 13.
