Belize City man charged for armed robbery, accomplice still at large

By Breaking Belize News: Belize City resident, Denmark Dejaun Davis, was arraigned in court on Monday on a single count of robbery.

Davis appeared unrepresented in the Belize City magistrate’s court, accused of robbing a man of a cell phone, bicycle, and over $350 cash at gunpoint. Davis allegedly committed the crime along with an accomplice.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge but since the incident allegedly had a firearm involved, bail could not be granted at the Magistrate level and he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until June 5.

Police are seeking the second suspect in connection with the incident, which reportedly occurred on Thursday, March 23.
