By Breaking Belize News Staff: A total of 15 Brazilian nationals, 10 adults, and 5 minors will be deported back to their home country after being found in Belize without proper immigration documentation.

They are 29-year-old Renata Lorraine Silva Lino, 42-year-old Eliete Grizote Celestino, 37-year-old Rogelio Simplicio Dos Santos, 46-year-old Evaldo Arruda Da Silva, 45-year-old Ezekiel Gomes Pereira, 38-year-old Ellizama De Lima Rodrigues, 31-year-old Sylvania Aline Da Silva, 43-year-old Raquel Homes Pereira, 38-year-old Sealite Goncalves Rodrigues, and -year-old Douglas Dias Moreira

The adults appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, all charged with illegal entry for entering into the country via the banks of the Mopan River in Benque Viejo, Cayo district, instead of a legal port of entry.

They all pleaded guilty and according to the Immigration Department personnel, were cooperating with police throughout the entire process. The Immigration Department said that it took into consideration the humanitarian factors, and only requested a removal order against them, as opposed to the usual fine of $1,000 charged for such an offense.

The court granted the removal order and the adults were remanded into custody while the minors were handed over to the Department of Human Services until the removal order can be carried out.
