William Dawson Sprite-Digi Youth Basketball Tournament 2023 goes to playoffs next weekend

By Aaron Humes: With playoffs scheduled for next week, the William Dawson Sprite-Digi Youth Basketball Tournament held its annual Barbecue Family Fun Day 2023, at the Yabra Green Basketball Court.

Coordinator Douglas Hyde said the event was “focused on giving God thanks for an exceptional regular season of games and also focused on family togetherness with our basketball teams, sponsors, volunteers, partners, and police officers.” More than 300 persons participated.

The tournament’s first week of playoff games begins on October 7, at the Burrell Boom Village Community Basketball Court, at 10 a.m., with the top eight teams competing against each other, “WIN or GO HOME”.

Game #1 features 2.0 Bze vs. Third World Ballers, Game #2, Hard Rock Boyz vs. 501 Falcons, Game #3, Hattieville Underdogs vs. Unruly Boyz and Game #4, Boom Ballers vs. Port Loyola Titans.
