Garden City, San Pedro Pirates draw 0-0

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Garden City and the San Pedro Pirates played to a nil-nil draw in the FFB Top League at the San Pedro Ambergris Stadium on Saturday night.

Garden City was originally scheduled to play the game in Belmopan, but the team opted to take the home game to their rivals’ home ground in their hunt to have better income since Belmopan fans have not been attending games in great numbers.

It turned out to be a scoreless stalemate. San Pedro dropped an opportunity, handed to them by Garden City, to come up with a victory and maintain themselves in the race against Verdes.

At this moment, San Pedro have 10 points in the competition regaining the second spot as Altitude fell 2-0 to Verdes.

The single point kept Garden City in fourth place in the tournament with five points, one ahead of Wagiya who defeated Caesar Ridge 2-1.
