By BBN Staff: Top Cop, Chester Williams, who is also an Attorney at Law and Assistant Commissioner of Police, has finally spoken on his transfer.

Effective July 1, he will be transferred to the Prosecution Branch in Belmopan. His “Community Policing” techniques on Belize City’s volatile southside will be replaced by former GSU Boss, Inspector Marco Vidal.

Today, Williams posted to Facebook, “I overwhelmed by the support I’ve received regarding my impending transfer to Belmopan. I am also grateful for the support that you all have been giving me and the Belize Police Department.”

According to him, he welcomes the transfer but would have preferred to stay in Belize City.

” I would have love to remain a little longer in Belize City working with the youths with a view to try and bring them beyond their hate and anger; however the department has other plans for me and I welcome that,” he said.

Williams revealed that he will do his best to further the department’s agenda at his new office.
