Phillip Willoughby defends Joe Bradley’s $6,000 ‘food and drinks’ spree

By BBN Staff: It dominated social media yesterday when news broke that Belize City Council Administrator, Candice Miller, was suspended for one month for “derelic tion if duty.”

BBN has learned that her suspension comes in wake of a scandal involving former council employee and UDP mouth piece, Joe Bradley.

Bradley reportedly racked up a $6,000 debt for food and drinks from a Chinese establishment, a debt that the new council has inherited.

Miller reportedly made out a check for payment of that debt thus triggering her suspension.

Today, former City Councilor Phillip Willoughby called into Wave radio to defend Bradley and Miller.

He said that there was nothing wrong or irregular in what Bradley or Miller did.

According to him, the new council acted without due process and diligence.

He said the suspension of Miller was “wrong”.

He said he was ashamed of conspiracy theorists who are of the view that there was corruption happening at city hall during his tenure.

According to Willoughby, Miller is a true professional and deserves to be exonerated.

She deserves an apology, he said.
