Belizean born CNN journalist receives prestigious White House award

By BBN Staff: Evan Perez is a Belizean born journalist who made his way up the industry in the US.

Perez works for the world renowned CNN and this year, he was awarded by The White House Correspondents’ Association.

Perez is a Justice correspondent at CNN. He is based in Washington, D.C. In his current role, he regularly writes for and appears across the network’s programs to report on his findings.

Perez and three other colleagues from CNN were awarded with the Merriman Smith Award for broadcast.

Prior to the joining the Wall Street Journal in 1998, Evan worked as a Miami reporter for the Associated Press. He was born in Belize City, Belize and studied journalism at the University of South Florida, Tampa.
