Kidnappers demand ransom for release of San Narciso businessman

BBN Staff:  On Sunday, the relatives of businessman Homero Campos, 43, reported to police that he was missing.

According to the relatives, Campos left his house to go to his farm located between San Narciso and San Victor villages in the Corozal District.

At around 6:30, Jairo Campos, Homero’s brother told police that he answered a call from a smart phone number and the caller informed him that Homero had been kidnapped and demanded that the family come up with $10,000 in ransom monies to save his brother’s life.

The family is gravely concerned about the safety of Homero.

The police are actively investigating this latest report and are treating it as a case of  kidnapping
