Caye Caulker police detain 2 robbery suspects

By BBN Staff:  Police are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday in Caye Caulker village.

Luis Choc, 50, a pump attendant at Caye Caulker gas station reported that around 2:30 p.m. while on duty, he was approached by two men.

One of the men had a gun and proceeded to rob him of approximately $2000 in cash and a cordless phone.

However, quick police response led to the apprehension of two suspects.

Police also recovered a gun, a cordless phone US $500 and BZ $1100 cash.
