Posted: Tuesday, March 17, 2020. 12:46 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The United States Embassy in Belmopan announced today that, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, all routine immigrant and nonimmigrant
visa appointments have been canceled.

“We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment,” the Embassy said.

The embassy also noted that anyone who needs to travel urgently can go to its website for guidance on requesting emergency appointments.
