Social Security board extends deadline for contribution payments

By BBN Staff: In light of the national quarantine as declared by Prime Minister, Dean Barrow, the entire country is taking precautionary measures.

Many business establishments have closed their doors to protect their families, staff and customers.

Social Security has informed all employers and self employed persons that the deadline for contribution payments for the months of March and April 2020 have been extended to July 31, 2020.

Employers are required to submit their monthly contribution statement.

In addition, SSB says that employers and self-employed persons can opt to make monthly installments not exceeding 6 months with no penalties.
