COVID-19 update: 121 new cases identified

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health notes that of the 415 samples processed with the Rapid Test and Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (RT-PCR), 121 new cases were identified. This is a positivity rate of 29.2%.

The new cases are as follows:

Corozal – 47 (11 Town, 4 San Roman, 4 Xaibe, 3 San Andres, 3 San Joaquin, 3 San Narciso, 2 Santa Clara, 2 San Pedro Village, 2 Progresso, 2 Patchakan, 1 Buena Vista, 1 Calcutta, 1 Caledonia, 1 Chan Chen, 1 Ranchito, 1 Chunox, 2 from OW Town, 1 from San Jose Palmar OW, 1 from San Ignacio CY, 1 from Camalote CY)

Orange Walk – 20 (8 Town, 2 Yo Creek, 2 San Estevan, 2 San Pablo, 2 San Jose, 2 Guinea Grass, 1 Douglas, 1 from San Pedro Town)

Belize – 27 (10 City, 3 Kolbe, 1 PGIA from family cluster, 2 Lord’s Bank, 2 Hattieville, 1 Western Pines, 1 La Democracia, 1 Double Head Cabbage, 1 San Pedro, 1 Sandhill, 3 from OW Town, 1 from Yo Creek OW)

Cayo – 23 (3 Belmopan, 4 San Ignacio, 1 Santa Elena, 5 San Jose Succotz, 5 Santa Familia, 1 Roaring Creek, 1 Bullet Tree Falls, 1 Valley of Peace, 1 Buena Vista, 1 Douglas Da Silva Camp)

Stann Creek – 1 Georgetown

Toledo – 3 (1 Punta Gorda, 1 San Pedro Columbia, 1 from Belmopan)

Fifty-one more patients recovered from the virus.
