By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that relatively moist and unstable weather conditions are setting in.
The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and isolated showers this morning, increasing to isolated thunderstorms around the country this afternoon. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect mainly coastal areas tonight.
“A flood warning remains in effect for communities in the Belize District,” the Met Service said.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 75 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 71 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be blowing Northwest between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be slight
High tide came in at 8:36 a.m. and low tide will begin at 2:21 p.m.
The sun will set at 5:16 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 5:15 a.m.
