By Zoila Palma: Today, the Cabinet is meeting at the House of Culture in Belize City.

Members of the Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU) are in front of the House of Culture protesting against the 10% salary cut.

There is heavy police presence at the gate of the House of Culture.

On Monday, teachers commenced their strike action to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with Government’s decision.

Several schools notified parents that online classes were cancelled until further notice.
