22-year-old Jorge Triminio charged with murder of new boyfriend of former common-law partner

By Aaron Humes: 22-year-old Jorge Triminio has been charged with the brutal murder of 23-year-old Namid Mesh, a resort worker of the Stann Creek District, early on Christmas Eve.

Triminio had allegedly menaced his former common-law partner, who escaped to make a report to police only not to find any. Triminio allegedly laid in wait for his ex and Mesh who had just gotten home, got into an altercation with them, and stabbed Mesh multiple times before washing off the knife in the kitchen where he had gotten it from, and then leaving.

Mesh subsequently died at the Placencia Polyclinic and police picked up Triminio shortly after.

A motive has not been directly established but it has been asserted that Triminio and his former partner had been separated for two months now and that he had approached her at her apartment hours before the murder.
