Eighteen-year-old Andre Sanker shot in Corozal

By BBN Staff: An 18-year-old Corozal resident is fighting for his life in the hospital after a shooting last night.

Police say that Andre Sanker was on his veranda around 10:30 p.m. along with two other people when someone walked up behind them and fired several shots.

Sanker was hit to the body and was taken to the Corozal Community Hospital where he is listed as being in critical condition.

Police have detained one person in connection with this incident as investigations continue.
