Belize City resident arrested for possession of crack cocaine

By BBN Staff: A resident of Taylor’s Alley, Belize City, was arraigned in court today after allegedly being caught with just over 7 grams of crack cocaine.

Twenty-year-old Nathaniel Beaton appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court where he was read a single charge of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

He pleaded not guilty and was offered bail in the sum of $5,000 plus one surely of the same amount.

Beaton is scheduled to return to court on May 12.

Reports are that police officers on mobile patrol conducted a search on Beaton yesterday, March 15, and found a transparent plastic bag in his pants containing 7.1 grams of crack cocaine.
