By Benjamin Flowers: On Friday, April 8, Joshua Young was attacked by a crocodile in Caye Caulker and now a GoFundMe page has been launched to seek assistance with his medical expenses.

Young was diving on the North Side of the Split Area when the crocodile attacked him. He sustained injuries to his forehead, chin, and throat, and was airlifted from the island to Belize City for treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Anyone wishing to assist Young with the cost of treatment can do so by clicking here.

The Forestry Department has since issued a notice that it will be working with the American Crocodile Education Sanctuary (ACES) to capture the crocodile.
