Convicted sex offender, charged with burglary with intent to rape, out on bail ahead of trial

By Aaron Humes: 44-year-old Francisco “Indian” Gomez, charged with burglary with intent to rape and harm, and previously convicted of a sexual offense, has been offered bail, although he was not yet able to meet it as of this evening.

Gomez was first arraigned in February and Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford denied bail at that time. Four months later, with police having provided partial disclosure of the evidence in the case, she offered him bail of four thousand dollars and a surety of the same or two sureties of two thousand dollars each.

Senior Magistrate Ford ordered Gomez not to interfere with the virtual complainant or any members of her family; report to the Ladyville Police Station every Friday of the week effective this Friday, June 3; and avoid being arrested and charged with any offense whilst out on bail or his bail could be revoked.

Gomez was also provided with partial disclosure in the sum of 40 pages in connection with the alleged burglary with intent to rape the case and harm. He is now awaiting one CD which is pending as part of his full disclosure which is expected to be ready before June 17, which is also the next court date for his matter.

Gomez was previously convicted in 2016 of sexual assault of a child by touching and served a three-year prison sentence.
