Channel 5’s KTV winner Lisa Robateau left in back brace after being knocked off motorcycle in traffic accident

Posted: Thursday, September 8, 2022. 8:13 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: Lisa Hemmans Robateau, the winner of this year’s season of Channel 5’s KTV (Karaoke Television) The Remix, will be laid up for at least three months according to Channel 5 News after apparently being rear-ended while she was on a motorcycle on Tuesday night.

Robateau told Channel 5 News that she will be in a back brace for three months as she literally cannot move due to two fractured vertebrae.

She said she had been going for gas at the Puma Gas Station on Coney Drive just before 7 p.m. when she was hit by a driver apparently speeding up to overtake her. The driver has been served with a notice of intended prosecution and faces tests to determine if she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The KTV Remix winner is keeping a sunny attitude despite facing what she calls a “surreal experience” but asked drivers to be cautious and careful of their fellows on the road, especially if drinking alcohol.
