Man drowns off the coast of Cattle Landing Village following canoe accident

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 24-year-old man drowned this afternoon off the coast of Cattle Landing Village, Toledo District.

The victim has been identified as Jamire Borland. He was reportedly with two other companions in a canoe when an accident occurred and they all fell into the sea.

Borland apparently could not swim and drowned as a result.

Police are investigating.
