Heavy rains to continue as Tropical Disturbance moves over Gulf of Mexico

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Heavy rains are forecast to continue as a Tropical Disturbance moves over the Gulf of Mexico.

The trough of low pressure is located  over the southern portion of the Yucatan Peninsula and is producing disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms. 

Some development of this system is possible on Tuesday and Wednesday when the system moves slowly west-northwestward to northwestward  over the far southwestern Gulf of Mexico.  

Heavy rains are expected over portions of southern Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala during the next couple of days.

This system has a 30% chance of formation over the next 5 days.
