Belize Weather: Mostly sunshine but some Sunday showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A weak tropical wave will continue to support showers around the country today, according to the National Meteorological Service.

The forecast is for sunny skies today with cloudy spells and showers or thunderstorms over most areas at first, decreasing by this evening. Tonight, skies will be cloudy at times with isolated showers or thunderstorms except for the south.

Today’s high temperatures are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 88 degrees inland and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 75 degrees inland and 69 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly at five to 15 knots. The seas will be light chop. A flood warning remains in effect for areas along rivers in the center of the country.

Tides will be low at 9:22 this morning and 7:42 this evening and high at 3:33 this afternoon. The sun sets at half past five this evening and rises at 5:46 Monday morning.

Mainly fair weather and isolated showers will prevail through Monday.
