Belize City man fined for hidden marijuana

By Aaron Humes: A Pitter Street resident was busted with 21 grams of cannabis, more than twice the legal limit, and now must pay the court $205.

Sean Edward Pitter, 23, a construction worker of Pitter Street, pleaded guilty to possession of controlled drugs before Magistrate Mannan Dennison and was fined $200 and cost of court due by August 31, in default two months imprisonment.

On May 25 Pitter was stopped and searched by police on Antelope Street Extension. The officer felt a bulky area covered by pants and ordered him to remove what was there. When he refused, the officer reached in and retrieved a plastic bag containing the suspected cannabis.
