She recently took her problem to the Amandala Newspaper after she applied for her passport several years ago in 2011 while in Belize for a funeral and expected to collect it on her visit for the September Celebrations, as she arrived on September 2nd.
That, however, was not the case, Lamb said. She claims that the Belize City and Belmopan Immigration Departments have been giving her the run around treatment, saying that they don’t know where her passport is.
Lamb has met with the Officer in Charge of the Belize City Immigration Department who assured her that someone would be assigned to find her passport but up until Wednesday, September 23rd, she has still not received it, hence the reason she has decided to take her case to the media.
Lamb left the country on Friday and it is still unclear whether or not she got her passport. Lamb said she was afraid that her passport would end up in the wrong hands.
