Toledo cops investigating fire that destroyed building in Forest Home village

By BBN Staff:  Toledo police are investigating a fire that gutted down a building in Forest Home, Toledo.

On Thursday morning around 1:20, police were called to Forest Home Village and saw a wooden bungalow house with zinc roofing measuring 40ft by 60ft, completely engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished by personnel from the Fire Department.

Raymond Coleman, a Belizean teacher, and owner of the building reported that about 1:15 a.m., while at home sleeping, he was informed that the building was on fire.

Coleman also stated that the building was unoccupied for over a year and had no electricity.

The building and its contents were completely destroyed by the fire.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.

 Police investigations continue.
