By BBN Staff: Over the weekend, the Belize National Cricket Association (BNCA) hosted a cricket coaching course in Bermudian Landing.

Belize Rural North area representative, Edmond Castro addressed the participants and organizers of the course.

The course was facilitated by two cricket experts from Cricket West Indies, Kumar Rampat of Trinidad and Tobago, and Rohan Nurse of Barbados.

They were assisted by Belize’s Conway Young, Manager of Bermudian Landing Summer Fever, who coached our national selection which recently won the 2019 Central American Cricket Championship in Mexico.

The course was attended by 16 participants from various cricket teams throughout the Belize District.

The course covered theory and practical training in cricket coaching in line with international standards.

The course was held from Thursday, November 7 to Sunday, November 10.

Those who completed it will receive a certificate allowing them to coach anywhere in the region.

The training is accredited by Cricket West Indies and recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

President of the Belize National Cricket Association, Dr. Roy Young thanked Castro for his continued support for the sport.
