Moist and unstable weather ahead

The latest report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that today’s weather will be relatively moist and unstable.

The 24-hour forecast calls for some cloudy spells with showers or isolated thunderstorms.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Despite the increase in moisture, residents, particularly those inland, are still advised to avoid outdoor activities as much as possible and to keep hydrated.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast at 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide came in at 7:49 a.m. and low tide will occur at 2:46 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:19 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 4:00 a.m.
