Flood watch in effect for low lying areas

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a flood watch for low lying areas and flood prone areas especially near rivers and streams.

The weather is forecasted to be cool supported by a  moist northeasterly airflow.

The 24-hour forecast is for cloudy skies with some showers and periods of rain affecting most places along with a few thunderstorms over the South and Coast.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 88 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 78 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 67 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

The extended forecast is for fair conditions with isolated showers.
