Fishing Booker names Turneffe Atoll one of the best fishing spots in the world

By Benjamin Flowers: Fishing Booker, the world’s largest online marketplace to list, find, and book fishing trips has named the Turneffe Atoll in Belize one of the 12 best fishing spots in the world.

In a recently published article titled “The 12 Ultimate Bucket List Fishing Spots” Fishing Booker places Belize at Number 1 on the list.

“We’re starting off strong. Sitting 20 miles off the coast of Belize City, Turneffe Atoll is one of the world’s top Bone fisheries. The sheer number of Bonefish makes this the perfect place to hone your skills, or even catch your first fish. Most are medium-sized, but don’t worry, there are plenty larger, battle-hardened Bones around too,” Fishing Booker said. “Belize’s bonefishing is incredible, but the country is mainly known for its Permit. Turneffe Atoll is no exception, with a massive Permit population averaging 10-20 pounds. Big fish can reach up to 30 pounds or even more.”

The article also note that the fishing is excellent all year round.

Other entries on the list included Mississippi River Delta, Louisiana, Andaman Islands, India, and Bissagos Islands, Guinea-Bissau, which were second third and fourth on the list respectively.

Being listed in a publication for a niche market such as fishing, emphasizes that Belize is a premium tourist destination in the region with an experience for every traveler.
