Woman shot inside bedroom at home

By Aaron Humes: Police continue to investigate a shooting incident on Friday night that left a woman in hospital.

Shantel Brown of Western Avenue, Belize City, was at home with her husband in their bedroom around seven Friday night when they heard gunfire coming from nearby Violet Lane. She then realized she had been wounded.

Brown was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment of apparent gunshot injuries to the body and remains there in stable condition.

Police investigations continue.
