Team Ace Ventura wins Belize Tennis Association open team tournament

Team Ace Ventura won the Belize Tennis Association open team tournament sponsored by Harry’s Import held at the Belize Pickwick Club in Belize City.

Team Ace Ventura comprising Richard Huang, Marco Mendez, Amalia Guiton, and Peter Quan won the final over the Garden City Gladiators made up of Stefan Sosa, Mike Sosa, Nazli Williams, and Jared Mena. Team Underdogs, Net Assets, and Kicking Aces are the other teams that participated.

The five teams played a round robin in which they faced each other in five matches (2 Men’s Singles, 1 Women’s Singles, I Mixed Doubles and 1 Men’s Doubles.

“It was a wonderful two weeks of great tennis and of camaraderie amongst all tennis players and fans,” said the Belize Tennis Association which recently elected Samira Musa Pott as president at its Annual General Meeting.

The other members of the BTA Executive Body are:

Development Officer: Mike Sosa

Executive Member: Samron Pott

Executive Member: Matthew Hulse

President Emeritus & Advisor: Edward ‘Billy’ Musa Sr.

The Executive Officers will serve for two years up to 2024.
