Silver and Bronze medals still up for grabs in U-19 regional volleyball championship; Let’s go Team Belize!

By Benjamin Flowers: While Costa Rica has secured the gold in the U-19 Central American Championship of Afecavol, team Belize still has a shot at the silver or bronze medal as the competition concludes today.

The Belize Volleyball Association notes that today is a very important day for team Belize as they go up against Honduras. Also playing today are Team Nicaragua VS Team Guatemala, and Team Costa Rica VS Team El Salvador.

On Tuesday, Team Belize had been holding its own against Nicaragua, but Nicaragua turned the tide and won the game 3 sets to 2. 

Belize would go on to lose against Costa Rica on Wednesday. Notably, the Costa Rican has been the dominant team throughout the competition, winning all their games in 3 sets.
