By Rubén Morales Iglesias: World Champions France have again taken the lead over England in the last Quarterfinal at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

Olivier Giroud hammers a header into the net past Jordan Pickford in the 78^th minute for France to lead 2-1 over England who had drawn even on a penalty kick by captain Harry Kane in the 54^th minute.

The opening goal was scored in the 17^th minute, when after a series of passes, midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area beating English goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
