Government driver served with a notice of intended prosecution after road mishap

By Aaron Humes: On Thursday, a driver for the Ministry of Works, Wayne Gillett, got into an accidental mishap on the George Price Highway.

He was traveling with a trailer on a towhead owned by GOB containing a 20-foot-by-20-foot wooden house.

According to Police, in the area of Cotton Tree, resident Jose Perez was exiting the More Tomorrow Road onto the highway when the back of the house struck him in the face, causing a slight head injury. He has been admitted to hospital and Gillett is under notice of intended prosecution.

In related news, no charges have been filed in the cases of Anibal Mena, a constable who died after an accident on the Patchakan-Chen Chen Road, nor Oliver Peters, knocked down and killed last week on the Philip Goldson Highway.
