Esperanza store robbed at gunpoint

By Benjamin Flowers: Two men robbed a grocery store in Esperanza Village, Cayo District, yesterday.

Reports are that sometime after 11:00 a.m. two men arrived at the store on a motorcycle and entered as is to buy. One of them then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the owner, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash; while the other rounded up customers in the store.

The men then rode off in the direction of Central Farm. No one was injured in the incident.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage obtained from the store as a part of an ongoing investigation.
